Andrew Raby (Drew) has over 15 years of experience working in the painting industry and is a qualified painter.
He started his painting career working up in Cairns many years ago for Pete’s Painting Solutions, working with his brother to help build a successful business.
Drew then branched out down to Melbourne, whilst continuing to still work with his brother in Cairns for high-risk work on holiday apartment buildings.
Drew has successfully run many jobs for Higgins on job sites in Cairns, as well as other job sites down in Melbourne on construction sites.
With extensive experience and knowledge working on commercial and union job sites, as well as building indoor and outdoor playgrounds and building large cool rooms for distribution centers, Drew has worked all around Australia over the years, from Melbourne, Cairns, Adelaide, Sydney, Hobart, Darwin, Alice Springs and, Brisbane. Giving him experience working in all environments and climates. Cairns in particular stands out in his mind as the most challenging weather climate to work in, from a humid climate to torrential rain.
Drew loves working in a team environment and leading his crew to get the best results for his customers. Drew has been the supervisor of a team of up to 8 staff, on many job sites, liaising with the owner at all times. Drew’s friendly nature makes customers feel comfortable having him paint their home.
Drew has had his high-risk work licence, working with scaffolding since working for Build safe 10 years ago, as well as harnesses and booms and even painted the Cairns Casino exterior. This means he has the ability to perform all jobs to the highest safety level.
